Brand task

The task is to create a new brand identity that is young, modern and stylish. We also have to design a brand guide that reflects their values and show the application and usage instructions across assets ranging from in-app, communication to merchandise. The identity should be easily adaptable with changing needs and brand extensions.

To create a new identity that conceptualizes around the service of dailyhunt; that it provides news in 14 different languages to inform and entertain a billion Indians, we came across the thought of India being one family with Unity in Diversity. India has the world’s second highest number of languages and one of the richest culture. We compared India to a family and the languages and cultures to its members and came up with the concept of a “Language Tree” just like we have a Family Tree. The concept of a “Language Tree” is for the main logo and we also designed separate identities for different languages. For that we designed the first letter of every language using the grid that was used for the main logo.
